Changes 1st Ever Review Tour

Due to my hectic schedule I’ve had to hire a company to do a this tour for me. This is the first time I’ve done this. I must say I am happy with the result. Debdatta was very professional, she updated me on the process along the way. She checked in with bloggers to make sure they were going to post when they said the would. She also helped in the Twitter promotions. I would definitely recommend her company and would use her again.

Changes is free on Amazon | B&N | Kobo | Smashwords | iBooks

Below are some of the reviews gathered on the tour.

Mindy Wall – 4th May

I had trouble following parts of the story.  I recommend keeping some sort of person tree if you have trouble keeping the characters straight.  The story is interesting and kind of like following a soap opera, something I have have trouble following.

I give this story 3.5 out of 5 clouds.

Tina – 5th May

There is a surprise at the end I did not expect and I’m dying to know where that leads among other things.

Pick up this book and give it the chance it deserves, you won’t regret it and you will want to read book two.

Maniparna – 6th May

Gillian has been able to keep the readers glued till the end. The novella ends with a cliffhanger creating much expectation for the sequel. The writing style of Gillian Felix is lucid and captivating. The dialogues are well formed and produce the desired effect on the readers. An overall pleasant read.

Kristen Chandler – 7th May

My only problem with the book was that it was TOO SHORT!! I WANTED MORE!! But thankfully the author is continuing this as a series.

I enjoyed reading about the Banovic family and can’t wait to read more about them.

I give this book 4 stars.

Arti – 8th May

The language is simple and the book is fast paced. The story has many characters which come in contact with each other at some or other time in the book making the reader feel that they are all a part of the story but actually there are many parallel stories going on which cross each other at some point or other like railway lines. The book reminded me of Beverly Hills 90210, a series I would watch in college. I actually made a list of characters in which I would add each new character as it came along and where it was fitting into the story of the Banovics.

A quickread, can be completed in two hours or maybe less.

Teresa Kander – 8th May

This is a relatively quick, easy read, and the author has a very clear way of bringing us into the lives of the characters and into the inner workings of the entertainment business. I look forward to reading the remainder of this series to see how the characters grow and develop.

Oindrila De – 8th May

I love how smoothly and swiftly the story proceeds. One can tell it has been written by someone who loves to write and is gifted in the art. Gillian succeeds in keeping the characters unique and interesting. The book holds your interest until the very end.

Changes gets an overall rating of 9 on 10 for the excellent storytelling, smart characterization and interesting plot. The story is good enough to be made into a TV series.

Nimi Arora – 9th May

The best thing about this story is that as a reader, I felt an attachment to each.
I may not agree to their choices, but I could not help but root for each of them.

Changes is a tale which weaves many characters with effortless ease.
Now that I know about the families in Gillian Felix’ Changes, I eagerly wait for the next volume of the series, just as I would wait for the next episode of my favourite serial.

Romila – 9th May

I found the book to be very well written. It flows well and the dialogue sounds natural and is easy to follow. I liked how the different characters connected. Some characters just met briefly and some met regularly. But it was really short and I was really sad when the book ended. I wanted to read so much more about these characters. The book ends with an unresolved issue, but that merely prepares the reader for the next book in the series.

Thankfully there are more books in this series and ‘Changes’ is only the beginning. If you like stories about families and Hollywood than this definitely the right book for you.
